The Overview: General Information and Profile Information
These can be found on your Insights’ page under the section called ‘Overview. This section allows you to see how engaged your Instagram followers, particularly new ones, are with your posts and your Instagram profile.
This page displays information for the past 7 days and the last 30 days. You can choose to display either one or both. This page shows you the following Instagram metrics.
Accounts Reached: The number of unique accounts which have seen any of the posts you’ve made
Impressions: The number of times that your posts were viewed during this time period
Profile visits: The total number of profile views during the week
Email/Call Buttons Taps: How many visitors have clicked this button to email/call you business

Mentions: The number of times that your account’s handle was mentioned by other users
Content interactions: These Insights track how visitors interact with Instagram stories, posts, and even IGTV videos. This will be covered later.
Your Audience
Did you know that your Instagram analytics includes a section dedicated to your audience demographics. This section gives you great information that will help you determine if your Instagram audience matches your target audience.
While it’s great if your brand is able to engage in Europe, it won’t help you if your target audience is a small swimwear business that ships only in the US.
This information will help you determine if your Instagram marketing strategy is targeting the right audience.
This section includes your ‘Follower breakdown’. It shows your exact follower count as well as any percentage changes in the specified time period (e.g., the last 7 or 30 days). You will also find a new section called ‘Growth’, which focuses on the growth of your followers over that time period.

Shared Content
Once you have established that you are targeting the right audience you will want to find out how each individual effort (posts and stories) has been received. Engaging with your followers. This is possible with your Instagram Insights.
You can either do it through the ‘Content Interactions’ section in your Overview’ section, or the section titled “Content You Shared”.
These sections can be helpful. The ‘Interactions section will focus on your interactions, which are actions taken directly from your post. This could include visiting your profile, clicking a link, or using your call/email button.

Exits: The number of times someone leaves your Instagram story halfway through
Replies: The number of responses to a photo or video on your Instagram stories
